Executive Administrative Assistant ($28.00-$30.00)

Rocky Mountain Recycling has been in continuous operation at the corner of 64th and Brighton Blvd. in Commerce City since 1936. We recycle all scrap metal including copper, aluminum, brass, stainless steel, zinc, aluminum cans, lead batteries, all types of iron, and steel. We are currently looking for an Executive Administrative Assistant to work 5 days a week Monday-Friday.

SUMMARY:

The Executive Administrative Assistant will have the ability to work diligently to help maintain smooth office operations. You will undertake a variety of activities in the office ranging from management of the executive’s schedule, meeting preparation, follow-up tasks, travel arrangements, filing, scanning to basic bookkeeping. You must be reliable and hardworking with great communication skills. The ideal candidate will be familiar with office equipment and procedures.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

The following responsibilities are general duties that a particular employee in this position may or may not be required to perform. The actual duties required for this position will vary.

Executive Management
  • Responsible for executive calendar.
  • Prepare daily and weekly agendas.
  • Screen emails and draft responses.
  • Track strategic initiatives.
  • Follow up with department managers.
  • Maintain action-item lists until completed.
  • Ensure deadlines are met.
  • Draft correspondence from executive notes.
  • Help prepare presentations.
  • Coordinate board materials.
  • Track major customer issues.
  • Monitor capital projects.
  • Maintain executive dashboards.
  • Follow up on unresolved operational issues.
  • Help with speeches and LinkedIn posts.
Meeting Management

Before meetings provide:

  • Prioritize meetings based on strategic importance.
  • Agenda.
  • Background information.
  • Previous decisions.
  • Open issues.
  • Required decisions.
  • Supporting documents.

After meetings responsibilities:

  • Meeting minutes.
  • Action items with responsible person and due dates.
  • Follow-up reminders.
Board & Association Support
  • BIR meetings.
  • Board meetings.
  • Convention planning.
  • Speaking engagements.
  • Presentation deadlines.
Travel Management
  • Coordinate domestic and international travel.
  • Arrange flights and hotels.
  • Coordinate ground transportation.
  • Monitor visa and passport requirements.
  • Prepare itinerary books.
  • Complete expense reporting.
  • Coordinate meetings while traveling.
Office Responsibilities
  • Maintain files and records so they remain updated and easily accessible.
  • Sort and distribute incoming mail and prepare outgoing mail (envelopes, packages, etc.).
  • Scan documents, stuff envelopes, make copies, collate, and distribute documents.
  • Utilize office equipment such as photocopiers, printers, and computers for word processing and spreadsheets.
  • Update reports as needed on Excel spreadsheets, including end-of-month reports.
  • Obtain quotes and issue purchase orders (POs).
  • Monitor and order office supplies.
  • Coordinate IT needs (phones, internet, truck scales, small scales, keyboards, etc.).
  • Schedule office maintenance for HVAC, carpets, windows, and plumbing.
  • Coordinate marketing needs, including ordering business cards and scheduling food trucks.
  • Perform other office duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION:

Required:

  • 2–4 years of experience as an Executive Administrative Assistant.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and virtual meeting platforms.
  • Hands-on experience with complex calendar management, travel coordination, and expense reporting.
  • Ability to handle highly confidential information with discretion, along with excellent verbal and written communication skills in fast-paced environments.
  • Knowledge of QuickBooks.

Entry Level General Laborer ($20.12-$24.19 per hour)

We are currently looking for a reliable, hardworking General Laborer available to work 5 1/2 days a week Monday-Saturday. This position will require over time during our busy seasons and 45 hours/week during our slow seasons.


REPRESENTATIVE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Clean area
  • Assist in other areas as needed
  • Sort material to appropriate bins
  • Assist customers to unload vehicles
  • Assist in traffic direction in yard
  • Other duties as assigned

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Ability to: lift and carry up to 50 pounds for long periods of time, sit or stand for extended periods of time, climb stairs daily. Positions requires individual to: sit, bend at waist, twist upper body, stand, walk, and/or otherwise move around a steel scrap yard environment up to 8 hours per day.


ENVIRONMENTAL/ATMOSPHERIC WORKING CONDITIONS:

The following environmental/atmospheric working conditions are commonly, but not always, associated with the performance of this position. The actual working conditions will vary.


  • Yard Cold and Hot-Position requires working outside 100% of the time.

REQUIRMENTS:

Must pass a post offer screen including a drug test, physical fit test, and a background check.

We are currently looking for a reliable, hardworking Forklift Operator available to work 5 1/2 days a week Monday-Saturday. This position will require over time during our busy seasons and 44 hours/week during our slow seasons.


REPRESENTATIVE RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position will be responsible for forklift operations on the dock and in our yard. Operator will be responsible for loading and unloading in-bound and out-bound trucks as well as helping to move material around the yard. Assist in other areas as needed for general labor duties.


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Ability to: lift and carry up to 50 pounds for long periods of time, sit or stand for extended periods of time, climb stairs daily. Positions requires individual to: sit, bend at waist, twist upper body, stand, walk, and/or otherwise move around a steel scrap yard environment up to 8 hours per day.


ENVIRONMENTAL/ATMOSPHERIC WORKING CONDITIONS:

The following environmental/atmospheric working conditions are commonly, but not always, associated with the performance of this position. The actual working conditions will vary.


  • Yard Cold and Hot-Position requires working outside 100% of the time.

  • 1 year of Forklift experience required.
