  Federal OSHA Hazard Communications Standard
 (29CFR 1910, 1200)
:
        There are certain materials we cannot accept as they are extremely
       dangerous to our yard, our employees, and our environment.  We
       appreciate your business and thank you for honoring our policies
       here at Rocky Mountain Recycling. 










     Below is a list of items we cannot accept:
  •    Liquid or gas filled containers of any kind (i.e., gas tanks, reservoirs w/fluids)

  • Batteries: Alkaline

  • Sodium Switches

  •    Any unknown chemical substances or residue.

  •  Paint Cans: full or empty.

  • Asbestos or items contaminated with asbestos

  •   Oil or Unknown Liquids

  •  Any sealed units or tanks; Only accepted if torch cut in half (i.e., Propane Tanks)

  •   Acetylene Containers

  •  Any unknown hazardous waste, substance, material or scrap contaminated by the same.

  • Capacitors- PCB (sources: washers, refrigerators, air conditions TV’s etc.)

  • Ballasts that do not say “NO PCB’s”.

  •   Oil Filters

  •  CRT Tubes

  • Florescent Light Fixtures with capacitors and bulbs. (We only take the fixtures)

  • No ORDNANCE or ORDNANCE RELATED MATERIALS

  • Mercury Switches and thermostats

  •   Aerosol Cans, Any Radioactive Materials

Other items that Rocky Mountain Recycling does not accept:

  •   Shock Absorbers

  •    Tires; (a tire fee will be deducted) Cars or other equipment fluids.

  •   Rubber Flaps

  •    Trash, paper, wood, rags, foam, cardboard etc.

  •   Wooden Pallets

  •   Steel cable, unless cut into one foot lengths
